Marvin Pieringer suffers fractured cheekbone against Utrecht

Marvin Pieringer was forced off through injury in the early stages of Schalke’s 1-0 friendly victory over FC Utrecht.

The forward suffered an injury during an aerial duel and had to undergo medical examinations. Several tests showed that Pieringer had sustained a fractured cheekbone.

The course of action to treat the 22-year-old’s injury will be decided in the next few days.
