Danny Latza suffers a severe bruise

Schalke’s captain Danny Latza had to be taken off injured in the 5-2 win over SV Darmstadt 98 in the 24th minute. The midfielder suffered a severe bruise during Sunday’s game (17/4).

Thankfully, Latza hasn’t broken anything. S04’s number eight went down after a tackle by Darmstadt captain Fabian Holland in front of the away dugout in the 21st minute and required treatment. He was then stretchered off, only coming back out after the game on crutches and with his ankle heavily strapped up.

Terodde’s goal to win the game at 1. FC Nürnberg on Sunday (15/5) was his 30th of the season, a new personal best for the legendary forward.
